The Weekly High Five

1. For about 6 years now I've organized or helped to organize a home school talent show for our local home school group. I have this year's program organized and written, all ready for the printer on Friday. We have a nice variety of acts and it should be a pretty good show.

2. With a few loose ends to tie up, we have officially finished our school year. I'm already perusing catalogs and my favorite internet suppliers for next year's curriculum.

3. The children helped me plan and plant the garden this past week. We have tomatoes, a variety of herbs, cucumbers, several different hot peppers, pumpkins, and we decided we'd try our hand at growing strawberries. We still need to fill in the flower beds and possibly plant some peas, but at least we have a good start.

What are your small successes this week? Come share them at Faith and Family Live.

Well done on your successes this week. I'm not a green thumb but my son planted strawberries a number of years ago as part of his homeschooling projects. We've finished homeschooling now but the strawberry plant is still bearing fruit :)

WOW, that seems like a VERY productive week. Today I am heading to my little girl's talent show at their school. I can't imagine organizing that ;)

This summer I will be back to perusing the homeschooling catalogs ... for my 6th grader. It's pretty exciting (now).

Wow, you must have a lot of room for your garden! I was not able to plant nearly as much as I wanted. I would need to dig up half our yard to get everything I want in . . . I wish I loved in the country!

I know strawberries grow great in sandy soil so good luck. I'm just hoping the bunnies don't get to my tomato plants in our garden.

My greatest success this week is that my allergies kicked in...I broke the world record for most sneezes in succession. I don't do a garden because plants die in my care so I stick with growing grass in the yard. I would try to put together a talent show but since my greatest talent is shoving olives up my nose I feel I lack the qualifications to make that a success. Our kids go to public school so the only catalogs I peruse are from the Banana Repulic and Sporthill (running gear). So what I am trying to say in my on unique tongue and cheek kind of way is Mau I'm proud of you sis. There is not another person I know who strives as hard as you to be a better mother, wife and person. Even if your family doesn't always appreciate what you do I thought you might want to hear it from your younger brother.

Love Ya Mau,

Your Bro
