Creative Discipline

Time outs are a really great disciplinary device, but for rambunctious, cooped-up type of behavior, we prefer having the children run laps. Of course, it doesn't work for every child. Baby Wingnut begs for laps.

Memories!!!! You gotta love them! I remember running the circle...down Westshore a left on Bluegrass (or was it Birdie?)a left past Boise's house up to Charles Road and hang a left until I met up with Westshore and hang a left again (feels like a NASCAR race). I would either make my way home...or...continue the loop until our mother was satisified! (Key up the music from All in the Family... "Those were the DAYS!!! in your best Edith Bunker voice). Baby Wingy obviously hasn't had to run the loop or anything resembling it because he would be singing (key up the music one more time...The Thrill is Gone!) I also never remember either of my sisters choosing to run along side of me to participate in the joy of running the loop like Angelina the Ballerina. Of course neither of you had a sweet heart like she does either. I love the plaid britches on Baby Wingy...continued proof that he's my BRO!!! (Key up Will Farrell in Old School... "Blue...You're my Bro Blue!")

Love ya Mau!

That is a great idea and something I'll have to remember when Clark is older. Perhaps I'll make his Dad run laps with him to keep in shape. =)

How about rock picking? Your brother could help you get set up in a rock picking detail!
I'm glad you love your kids enough to discipline them, they will thank you for it some day!

Love Dad
