The neighborhood kids love to hang out at our house and play with our children. I prefer that they come here, as I can keep an eye on what's happening in the 'hood.

Last evening one little boy wistfully declared to Lil' Wingnut, "You are soooo lucky to have a baby brother! I'd kill to have a baby brother."

I gave him a bit of a wide-eyed, raised eyebrow look and he quickly corrected himself, "Well, I wouldn't kill for a baby brother, but I would really, really like to have one."

Our children hear this kind of wishful thinking constantly. They are the envy of the neighborhood. It's unfortunate too many parents don't listen to their children's heartfelt desire for more brothers and sisters. Yep, thanks be to God, our kids are luckyyyyyy!
