Small Successes: It's Been a Long Time

I haven't done this in who-knows-how-long, but I'm back on the band wagon, so to speak.

1) I have stuck to my guns regarding laundry, even throughout my pregnancy, even with a new baby in the house. The laundry has not bested me. It is washed, dried, folded, and put away.

2) I was finally able to mop the wood floors. Believe it or not, they have not been wet mopped since October! Now that is an accomplishment!

3) I've been helping my girls, and on occasion the teenage boy, learn to cook more frequently. After Lil' Lamb was born, I had each of the older children choose two dinners each and had them prepare them. I didn't cook for almost 10 days after the baby arrived. It worked out so well, I'm continuing with this, having two kid prepared meals per week and giving each of them a turn in planning and preparing those meals. They are turning into wonderful cooks.

Ho fantastic that your kids can help with the cooking! I can't wait till my kids are old enough to really help. ANd you must share the secret of conquering the laundry. I just remember I forgot about the clothes in the dryer form yesterday. I need more determination, I think.
That is awesome that your kids can help with cooking! I can't wait until my boys get that age :). And way to go with the laundry. That is such a major success, especially with such a new little one!

Welcome back! My 10yo so has recently taken in interest in cooking. It is definitely nice to have that extra help in the kitchen.

AWESOME job w/ the laundry! I usually stay on schedule w/ the washing, but getting them folded & put away right after could definitely be improved on!
