Lil' Lamb and I were up very early one morning this week and were blessed with this beautiful sunrise.

One of the best aspects of homeschooling this year is that we have had time to do ACTUAL experiments with our science curriculum.  There have been many years when my poor kids have only been able to read about concepts and potential experiments due to different circumstances--needy infants, marauding toddlers, etc.  Special K love, love, loves science and being able to DO science makes her happy, happy, happy.

The weather has been unseasonably warm.  It's allowed me to do a bit more yard work before the snow really begins to fly.  I wasn't able to track down Lil' Lamb one afternoon until I checked the shed.  He was sitting happily on the Husqvarna.  He soon deserted the shed once he realized he wouldn't be able to start the Husqvarna.  Silly boy.

Our garden plot is very rocky.  One of my projects has been to at least reduce the number of larger stones.  This is 4 loads of rock that have been put to good use in the landscaping.  I will have plenty more to fill it all in.
