These Sisters Really Know How to Party

We are so blessed to have this wonderful order of nuns in our neighborhood. The Sister Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara are filled with such joy and love for God. They also know how to throw a great party. The afternoon began with games for the children, singing, and then a beautiful outdoor Mass celebrated by one of their brother priests from the IVE. Family Day with the nuns concluded with a barbecue and more singing by the sisters. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday evening!

This sister ran an obstacle course. Lil' Wingnut gave it a whirl and earned one Bosco Buck.

Sister really enjoyed watching the kids try out her complicated course. Skoshi A completed 4 circuits in 2 minutes. Not too shabby!

Sister Alma taught Mystical Rose and Special K a confidence game. Hmmmm.

Mother Sacred Heart (center left) grew up in our parish. She is in charge of the Novitiate House of Formation that is about 3 miles from our house. Our girls enjoy spending their Saturday mornings at the Oratory held at the Community of Blessed Kateri Tekawitha.

The Sisters love to sing and they provided ample entertainment for the children before Mass. Sister Mater Vitae (far left with glasses and white veil) is from my home town. It's a small world!
